Social Media Obsession!
This article talks about social media anxiety. Reading this article, you learn that anxiety is prevelant in a lot of our population, but anxiety comes from many different sources. The primary source this article talks about is how some people get anxiety from not being able to check their social medias for more than 3 hours at a time. This creates a lot of unhealthy habits leading to lack of sleep, loosing connections to loved ones, not being able to carry on long conversations, not studying and loosing time you're meant to be working.
Why Media Makes Us Anxious!
This article relates the topic of social media and why it makes us feel bad about ourselves and creates low self esteem. Teens are constantly comparing themselves to their peers vacation posts, parties, jobs, family and successes that they share for all to see on the web. Seeing these post often time makes us feel fear of personal failure, creating anxiety.
Social Media and Teens!
This article talks about how anxiety and depression may actually lead to teens going on social media more. It also mentions how, although technology seems to corralate with how many teens are experiancing mental illnesses these days, it may simply be because teens are more open with what they are feeling and more willing to say that they have been diagnosted with a mental illness.
